I buy this almost every time I walk into Dollarama..

I have long been a fan of this chicken salad snack kit that they sell at Dollarama. But if I'm being honest, I didn't even want to try it when my mother had bought it for me for lunch a long while ago! She bought two, one was for me and the other was for my sister. I put it into my lunch bag thinking, ugh why. Long story short. Opened it, tasted it, loved it. The end. 

Okay maybe I should be a little more descriptive about why I love the taste of this. First off, I was afraid that it would taste bland and dry. Thankfully I was wrong. The flavours in the salad have, I want to say sweet but it's not overpowering. It has tang and meatiness. The combinations of the flavours compliment each other well. It has a nice balance. 

I can't believe I'm describing a snack pack like it's a gourmet dish...

Where did I find this?

I found this snack kit in the food isle. Some dollarama's may have them adjacent to the candy section. Every store is different. I found mine where they keep canned food items, rice and spices.

My last thoughts...

This is my favourite snack. It has been for many years and I'm thrilled about it's cheap cost. I think this is a great idea for lunch sometimes (if you're a light eater). These don't fill me up completely like a home made lunch would but it is a great alternative if you're in a rush. 

Don't forget to check the expiry dates!
