Simple DIY Sharpie Bowl
It's unbelievably easy to do and your designs are boundless!
I'm not joking when I say "it's unbelievably easy", it truly is. I mean, I sat on the sofa while watching television while periodically checking my phone. It's fun too! Bonus! You can get as creative as you want with this project. I remember doing a similar project to this but I used a plate instead. You know how I decorated it? I just wrote on it like it was my own journal.
Things you'll need to get started..
- A small bowl (I got mine from dollarama)
- A sharpie permanent marker (any colour of your choice)
First you'll need to wash your bowl to remove any dust particles. Next, dry it off using a clean towel. Try not to use any paper towel because it rubs off easily and can make your bowl look dusty again! And finally you're done the prep work.
Note: This project is so easy that this post is going to be embarrassingly short.
Now for the fun part!
This is the part where you draw ..... la ta da de da....I'm drawing ... la la la la la ... fun fun fun.
I drew hearts as my design. As this is my second time doing this, I wanted to draw something simple and one that took less time. I thought hearts was the best choice for that. They are lovely designs, anyway! ;)
Time to bake..
I preheated my oven to 350 degrees. I left it in for 30 minutes.
When it is all done baking, the permanent marker that was drawn on should be permanent on the bowl for many washes. I would suggest hand washing the bowl.
*** UPDATE*** It is with a sad heart that I confess to you today that the PERMANENT marker washed away peacefully during a gentle hand wash in the sink. At least we got to draw.
So there you have it! A perfectly simple DIY you can complete anytime of the day. Barely any mess and the designs are all UP TO YOU!
Have you tried this DIY? What did you think about it? Was it fun? Let me know!
Bowl cost: $1.50 - 2.00 (lost receipt)
I hope you have a comfortable day! And good mental health.
